Hello everyone,

My name is Ruiming (Remy) Yuan. I’m from Shanghai, China. It is one of the biggest cities in China. I came to Canada when I was in grade 11. I am now studying Economics major at the University of Victoria for the third year and live in Victoria.

I am a huge sports fan. My favorite teams are my hometown soccer team named Shanghai Shenhua and the Evil Empire New York Yankees. Shanghai Shenhua is one of the most historic and successful soccer franchises in China. We just won the Championship of the CFA cup this season. Yankees is the one who has won most World Series titles (in other words, the best team in MLB). I not only like to watch the games, but also play sports myself. I used to play as the Quarterback of China U19 and the prop in the high school rugby team. I met a lot of friends when I played in these teams and considered it as one of my most meaningful experiences.

I am very interested in this course and hopefully can learn things during this term.
